With a successful career of over 30 years working with fashion and interior design, I realised that fashion and interior style are closely aligned, as they both rely upon understanding the importance of balance, proportions, light and shade, and the subtlety of colour tones.
The final result must bring joy to the client - whether they are wearing the clothes or living in the property.
I help clients to re-imagine, re-configure and transform existing interior layouts - optimising and making the most of living spaces – especially those that may no longer be functional for their family or current live/work life.
Small tweaks such as decluttering, moving or repurposing furniture, re-styling bookshelves or rooms with beautiful new sofas can make all the difference. Unloved store rooms, junk rooms, spare bedrooms can all be given a new lease of life with a fresh pair of eyes and a vision.
For bigger projects I like to think outside the box creating new extended living spaces by knocking through walls to open up rooms or garages or garden extensions, and even give patios and gardens some tlc.
I ask my clients questions about their lifestyle, what they would really like – even if it’s impossible and then offer practical, workable solutions to move forward, within budget.
